Samudragupta standing left, sacrificing over altar and holding filleted standard; behind to left, Garuda standard; samudra in Brahmi down inner right / Ardoxsho, enthroned facing, holding diadem and cornucopia; tamgha to left; apratirathah in Brahmi down right. Kumar Class I A.1 (second example – same dies); cf. Bayana 183-4; BKB 37; BMC Guptas 18-21; Altekar Class I, Variety A. Light toning, slight double strike on obverse, struck with worn and rusty dies.
