SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Laodicea ad Mare. Geta. As Caesar, AD 198-209. BI Tetradrachm (26mm, 12.20 g, 12h). Struck AD 205-207. Bareheaded and cuirassed bust right, slight drapery with aegis on cuirass / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; star between legs. Prieur 1136 var. (eagle’s head and tail right; same obv. die as illustrated specimen); Prieur & Amandry Group I, 20 var. (same); McAlee, Severan, Group I, 11 var. (same). Toned, a few deposits, minor metal flaws. Good VF.
