YORK. Edward IV. First reign, 1461-1470. AR Groat (24mm, 2.97 g, 11h). Light coinage. London (Tower) mint; im: rose/sun. Struck circa 1469. Crowned facing bust within tressure of arches with lis at cusps; quatrefoils flanking neck; on breast, trefoil engraved over C / Long cross pattée; triple pellets in quarters. Blunt & Whitton Type Vd/VI mule, 3; North 1568/1569; SCBC 2000. Old cabinet toning. VF.

An interesting mule, with an obverse die originally engraved for Coventry, with the C overstruck with a trefoil.
