ELECTROTYPES, CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 302 BC. Electrotype “AV Stater” (18mm, 4.49 g, 9h). Unsigned British Museum electrotype. Veiled and diademed head of Hera right, wearing ornate stephane, earring and necklace; [TAPAΣ and dolphin to right]; KON below / Dioskoroi riding left side by side, the first crowning his horse; the second holding filleted palm frond decorated with wreath; [ΔIOΣKOPOI above]; ΣA in exergue. Head, Guide –; cf. GPCG pl. 52, 24 (for prototype). Obverse cleaning marks, edge marks. As made.
