LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 430-400 BC. AR Nomos (18mm, 7.02 g, 12h). Veiled head of female right, hair in band; [cross-headed torch to right] / Barley ear with six grains in middle and left rows, seven grains in right. Noe 322 (same dies); HN Italy 1511; SNG ANS 280 (same dies); SNG Lloyd 327 = Bement 171 (same dies); SNG München 950 (same dies). Toned, compact flan, numerous light scratches, a few marks, slightly off center on obverse. VF. Rare, only two others on CoinArchives.
