Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; monograms in left field and below throne. Price 550 corr. (monogram in left field); SNG München 354 (same dies). Toned, numerous scratches, scuffs, and marks. Fine. Extremely rare, only the Munich piece noted by Price, none in Pella, nor CoinArchives, one in the ANS photofile (J. Schulman, 1 March 1962, lot 1235). |
