Post-Colonial Issue. 1787 Massachusetts Cent. Horned Eagle. Ryder 2b-A; W-6040, R.3. Rough brown surfaces, traces of lacquer, a few edge marks, slightly bent. Otherwise, Fine. A popular variety because of its nickname, from a die break on top of the eagle’s head which resembles a horn.
