Cross Lorraine within linear border / Pellet in triangle terminating in crosses; in angles, crescents containing the letters P A X. Dumas Group C, pl. This type may date to the end of the reign of William the Conqueror, as the inclusion of the word PAX on the reverse is likely inspired by his English PAXS pennies.
