Manuel I Comnenus. 1143-1180. Æ Tetarteron (18mm, 3.33 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. Struck circa 1167-1180/3. The Theotokos Hagiosoritissa right; / [MAN]ÖHΛ ΔƐC∩[OTHC] Manuel standing facing, holding cruciform scepter and akakia. DOC IV, 15; SB 1968. VF.

The Theotokos Hagiosoritissa (“of the holy soros” [reliquary chest]) was an iconographic type with the Theotokos in profile with both hands extended in prayer. It may reflect an icon from a chapel in the church of the Blachernai Monastery in Constantinople.
