CANADA, Blacksmith tokens – regal types. Silvered CU Token (27mm, 8.10 g, 3h). Struck 1820s-1830s. Laureate and cuirassed bust of George III left / Harp left with angel head on tip of pillar. Wood, Blacksmith 6/7 (for rev. die/obv. die state); Charlton BL-5/BL-6 (same). Attempted punch marks or piercing. Fine. Struck on a heavy flan.

From the RH Collection, purchased from Chesapeake Bay Rare Coins, November 2014.

This unusual piece is struck from a late die state obverse usually associated with Wood 7, but paired here with a reverse of Wood 6. It is also silvered and struck on an exceptionally heavy flan.
