CANADA, Blacksmith tokens – Nova Scotia types. CU Token (29mm, 4.12 g, 7h). Mint in Nova Scotia (Halifax?). Struck late 1830s. Warehouse façade; HALFPENNY above / JB cypher. Wood, Blacksmith –; Charlton BL-31. Dark brown surfaces, minor planchet clip as made. Fine. A well struck example with a legible monogram on the reverse. Rare.

This type is suggested to be from the Halifax area, as it copies other tokens from Nova Scotia that also depict warehouses (Charlton NS-15 and NS-29).
