MYSIA, Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. AR Tetradrachm (29mm, 12.35 g, 12h). Cistophoric standard. Mos–, prytaneis. Struck circa 76-67 BC. Cista mystica, from which serpent emerges, within ivy wreath / Two serpents entwined around bow and bowcase; above, MOΣ above monogram (=prytaneis) within wreath; civic monogram to left, serpent-entwined thyrsos to right. Kleiner, Hoard 45; SNG BN 1748. Iridescent tone, underlying luster, small area of weak strike. Good VF.
