IMP CAE D CLO SEP ALB AVG, laureate head right / IOVIS VICTORIAE COS II, Jupiter standing left, holding Victory and spear; at feet to left, eagle standing left, head right. RIC 26; Lyon 57/2 (D107/R113); RSC 43a. Attractively toned, scratch and deposits on reverse. Near VF. Well centered on a round flan. Only one example in CoinArchives (Bertolamii 29, lot 547, which hammered at £800). Extremely rare. |
