EGYPT. Lot of six (6) antiquities. Includes: two (2) small steatite scarabs from New Kingdoms Period. 1550-1070 BC (12.5 mm). Simple details and pierced for suspension. “Amun” on face // Small steatite scarab with blue-green glaze (7 mm). Simple details and pierced for suspension. “Beautiful Uraeus” on face. Some wear to glaze and earthen deposits // Also includes: four (4) faience amulets from Late Dynasties Period. 664-332 BC. Blue-green faience amulet of Bes (22 mm). Bes, the god of children, dance, and games, squatting facing, adorned in a great headdress of the feathers of Ma’at. Pierced for suspension. Traces of deposits. Some loss of glaze on headdress // Kneeling ibis (15 mm). Blue and green two-toned glaze. Pierced for suspension. Minor wear and earthen deposits // Dark blue Tawaret (23 mm). Tawaret, goddess of childbirth and fertility, with the head of a hippopotamus, standing right, arms at side, bar on back. Pierced for suspension. Areas of minor wear to glaze // Light green-blue faience spacer for a necklace (19 mm). In the shape of a lotus blossom, with good incised detail and drilled for suspension. Some earthen deposits.
