Pertinax. AD 193. AR Denarius (17mm, 2.01 g, 12h). Alexandria mint. Laureate head right / Ops, draped, seated left on throne, holding two grain ears in right hand and left hand on seat of throne. Cf. RIC IV 8a (Rome); Lempereur Type 17, 82a (D30/R73 – this coin); RSC 33a. Iridescent tone, some luster remains. EF. Superb portrait.
