Gaius (Caligula), with Divus Augustus. AD 37-41. AR Denarius bezel set in gold pendant (27.5mm, 4.21 g, 6h). Lugdunum (Lyon) mint. 2nd emission, 2nd phase, late AD 37-early 38. Laureate head of Gaius (Caligula) right / Radiate head of Divus Augustus right. RIC I 16 (Rome); Lyon 167; RSC 2. Toned, coin appears to have been broken and repaired. Gold ring attached to gold bezel to left and to right for suspension, marks on gold wire in ring on left used to keep the bezel closed. Fine. LOT SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS.
