Bronze ring head inscribed in Greek. Byzantine, circa 5th-11th centuries. . (16 mm) The head of a bronze ring, showing evidence of a wire ring (now broken off and lost) attached to a round planchet. On the face, an inscription in three lines: macron above YΓIA / ΓЄOP / ΓI(OY), (health of George). Black patina with earthen deposits. Website shipping rates do not apply.
