Steatite scarab with geometric design. Lower Egypt. Hyskos Period. 1650-1550 BC. (16 mm. –scarab; 25 mm. – ring) Scarab mounted on bronze ring from 2 points (presently, only one wire still exists). The bronze ring is simple with no adornments. The back of the scarab is simply carved, with little definition of features present. On the face, a linear geometric design with twisted rope in center. Old Collector’s notes present. Green patina, deposits on ring.
