Steatite scaraboid with grasshopper and hieroglyphs. Lower Egypt. New Kingdoms Period. 1550-1050 BC. (12 mm) A scaraboid with a central bidirectional piercing for suspension. The back is engraved with a grasshopper, well detailed including the long legs of the insect and clear features of the animal. On the face, four uraeii tete beche, all facing outwards. VF. Very rare.
