LUCANIA, Thourioi. Circa 350-300 BC. AR Dinomos – Distater (26.5mm, 15.58 g, 9h). Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet, decorated with Skylla holding a stone and scanning, and triple-pendant earring / Bull butting right; above, ΘOYPIΩN above EYΦA; in exergue, two fish right. Noe, Thurian J2–4 (same obv. die); HN Italy 1823; BMC 39 (same obv. die). Deep iridescent tone, a few minor flan flaws, double struck on reverse. Good VF. Very rare with Skylla holding stone while scanning.
