BRUTTIUM, Kroton. Circa 480-430 BC. AR Nomos (19mm, 8.11 g, 6h). Tripod, legs terminating in lion's feet; orJ to right / Incuse eagle flying right, leg in relief. Gorini 27; Attianese 54; HN Italy 2108; Jameson 419a (this coin). Old cabinet tone, a hint of porosity on obverse. Good VF. Attractive specimen with an illustrious pedigree.
