PHILISTIA (PALESTINE), Askalon. Mid 5th century-333 BC. AR Drachm (17mm, 4.00 g, 6h). Imitating Athens reverse type. Head of female right, with oriental hairstyle / Owl standing facing, wings spread; faint Phoenician ’aleph and nun to upper left, dolphin to upper right; all within incuse square. Gitler & Tal III.3D; HGC 10, 495; Traité II 1040. Toned, porosity, scrape on obverse. VF. Very rare.
