THRACE, Pautalia. Caracalla. AD 198-217. Æ Triassarion (30mm, 17.48 g, 1h). Laureate head right / Veduta: figure within tetrastyle temple set on wooded acropolis; below, statue of Asclepius leaning on serpent-entwined staff within tetrastyle temple, seen in perspective left, pellet in pediment; grotto to upper left; figures in distyle shrines on either side of acropolis; to right at ground level, statuary grouping of the three Graces. Tachev Pautalia 351 (O87/R319); Ruzicka 713; Varbanov 5256. Yellow-brown surfaces, light roughness and pitting. Near VF. Rare.
