Bearded head of male right, wearing tainia; [monogram to left, ΣIΠΠEΩΣ below] / Cult statue of Hera Telia facing; monogram to upper right. Kurth 34; SNG Soutzos 1511; A. Engel, “Notes sur les collections numismatiques d’Athènes” in RN 1885, p. 12, 15. Dark green patina, trace deposits, light roughness, slightly off center. Near VF. Very rare, only one in CoinArchives (Numismatik Naumann 52 [Plankenhorn Collection], lot 1061).
