Steatite scarab with hieroglyphs. Lower Egypt. New Kingdoms Period. 1550-1050 BC. (16 mm) A scarab with three central bidirectional piercings for suspension. The back is carved with four scarabs with simple details defined. On the face, an inscription in hieroglyphs suggesting “The Lord Pharoah of Lower Egypt, the backbone of Osiris (djed).”. Fine.
