Laureate head of Janus; M • FOVRI • L • F around / Roma standing left, holding wreath in right hand and scepter in left; to left, trophy of Gallic arms flanked by a carnyx and shield on each side; star above, ROMA upward to right, (PHI)LI in exergue. Crawford 281/1; Sydenham 529; Furia 18; RBW 1105. Good VF, bright surfaces, oval flan, a tad off center on reverse. An interesting later type featuring the Roman god of beginnings and endings, the two-faced Janus.
