INDIA, Gandhara. Uncertain king. Circa 4th century BC. AR Half Satamana (22mm, 5.63 g). Six-armed Taxila symbol around central pellet. Cf. ATEC 2121. VF, some encrustation.

The traditional Taxila symbol used at Gandhara in the 4th century BC had an additional “tail” and pellet in the field. ATEC 2121and 2167 mention later Mauryan strikings of this type, and this may be a later variation.
