THRACE, Deultum. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ 23mm (7.41 g). Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / COL F-L P-AC-DEV/LT, Apollo standing left, holding patera(?) and laurel branch(?), within tetrastyle temple with pellet in pediment. Youroukova -; SNG Bulgaria 1338 (same dies). VF, green patina.
From the Garth R. Drewry Collection.
It is possible that the reverse figure standing within the temple is actually Herakles holding a club rather than Apollo, but here we follow the description as found in the standard references.
