MACEDON. Uncertain mint. Circa 500 BC. AR Hemidrachm (11mm, 1.88 g). Forepart of bull left / Incuse square divided diagonally, with lines in each half. SNG ANS-. VF, porosity, die break on obverse.
The identification of early silver fractions such as these is always problematic, but the weight standard would suggest a northern Greek hemidrachm.
