PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy I Soter. 305-282 BC. AR Tetradrachm (15.56 g, 12h). Ptolemaic standard. Alexandreia mint. Struck in the name of Alexander III of Macedon, circa 305-304/3 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, wearing elephant skin headdress / Athena Alkidemos advancing right; monogram to inner left; to right, monogram and eagle standing right on thunderbolt. Svoronos 142; Jenkins, Early group a; SNG Copenhagen 21-2. Good VF, light iridescent toning, light scratch under tone on reverse, obverse a little off center.
