Crude bust right; chevrons and annulet behind, Runic SPI before / Standard with central annulet, chevrons and pellets in alternate corners; in margin, tufa with pellet above, diagonal lines at corners, bars at sides. The radiate crowns of Series A, C, and R, clearly derive from Roman issues of the third-early fifth centuries. Unlike the prototype, here the radiate elements have been blended with the hair of the bust, forming a pattern of triangles interspersed with dots (Gannon, p. 43).
