Bird pecking right; beaded foliage (vine-scroll) around / Voided Celtic cross with central rosette; rosettes in quarters. Beowulf 52 (this coin); Abramson Cc1; Metcalf 283; North 96; SCBC 805. Good VF, toned.

The obverse imagery, with a bird standing in a vine-scroll, was a very common motif in Anglo-Saxon England representing salvation and paradise (Gannon, p. 117).
