Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, forepart of ram right; below throne, pellets above both struts, pellet and DA below lower strut. Ex CNG E137, lot 4, called a fourrée there. The break on the edge at first glance looks like a break in the plating, but actually it’s just a chip, revealing more silver, not the copper core one would find in a fourrée, what appears to be plating is a surface layer of silver oxide.
