Diademed head of Zeus right / Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, sceptre over shoulder, lotus flower in left field. Svoronos 1636; Weiser -; SNG Copenhagen -; Noeske 298. VF, dark brown patina, some light smoothing on the reverse.

Another series of lotus marked bronzes is attributed to Ptolemy VI (cf. Svoronos 1403-1405). This coin is subtly different to the published specimens of either series, especially in the rendition of the lotus flower. Perhaps another issue?
