BRUTTIUM, Kroton. Circa 480-430 BC. AR 1/3 Nomos (2.62 g, 12h). Dumpy incuse type. Tripod, legs terminating in lion's feet; to left, heron standing right / Incuse tripod, legs terminating in lion's feet. Cf. Gorini 24; HN Italy 2105; cf. SNG ANS 314. Good VF, lightly toned. Excellent metal.
