SICILY, Syracuse. Second Democracy. 466-405 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.37 g, 12h). Struck circa 420-415 BC. Charioteer driving quadriga right; above, Nike flying left, crowning charioteer / Diademed head of Arethusa right; four dolphins around. Boehringer series XXIV, 721-2 var. (V355/R- [unpublished rev. die]); SNG ANS 243-4 (same obv. die). Good VF, lightly toned, usual short flan, a couple minor die breaks on reverse.
