PHILISTIA (PALESTINE), Uncertain mint. Mid 5th century-333 BC. AR Drachm (3.11 g, 9h). Helmeted head of Athena right / Sphinx seated right; to right, along right edge of incuse, uncertain animal lying upward; all in incuse square. Unpublished. Near VF, toned, test cut on reverse.

It is uncertain whether the mark on Athena’s cheek is a letter or a die break. Also uncertain is whether the animal on the reverse is being held upright in a raised forepaw of the Sphinx.
