PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Arsinoe II, wife of Ptolemy II. Died 270 BC. AV Oktadrachm (27.70 g, 12h). Alexandreia mint. Struck under Ptolemy II, 253/2-246 BC. Veiled head right, wearing stephane and horn of Hathor; lotus scepter behind head; Q to left / Double cornucopias bound with fillet. Troxell, Arsinoe, Transitional to Group 3, p. 43 and pl. 6, 3 (same obv. die as illustrated coin); Svoronos 460; SNG Copenhagen 134. Near EF, minor field mark on obverse, scratches along upper edge of coin, trace of underlying luster.
