Mark Antony. 32-31 BC. AR Legionary Denarius (3.64 g, 6h). Patrae(?) mint. Galley right / LEG XVIIII, legionary aquila between two signa. Crawford 544/34; CRI 379; Sydenham 1241; RSC 54. VF, toned, slightly granular surfaces, bankers’ marks, a shallow edge test cut. Extremely rare. The rarest of the Mark Antony Legionary Denarii.

Not to be confused with a similar legion under the command of Octavian, this Antonian legion was either disbanded or incorporated into another legion after Actium.
