Anthemius. AD 467-472. AV Solidus (4.40 g, 12h). Mediolanum (Milan) mint. Struck AD 471-472. Pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed facing bust, holding spear and shield / Anthemius and Leo standing facing, clasping hands, supporting between them a banner inscribed PAS surmounted by a cross; emperor to right holds Victory on globe; M-D//COMOB. RIC X 2885 var. (globe between emperors); Lacam 79 (same dies); Depeyrot 31/2 (same dies). VF, light graffiti on obverse (I-W flanking head), traces of deposits, light scuffs. Very rare.
