BRUTTIUM, Kroton. Circa 530-500 BC. AR 1/3 Nomos (2.57 g, 12h). Tripod, legs terminating in lion's feet; to right, heron standing left / Incuse tripod, legs terminating in lion's feet; to right, heron standing left. Cf. HN Italy 2081 (nomos); cf. SNG ANS 248-50 (nomoi). VF, toned, a couple minor die breaks on obverse. Very rare early fraction.
