EGYPT, Alexandria. Hadrian. AD 117-138. BI Tetradrachm (24mm, 13.34 g). Dated RY 8 (AD 123/4). Laureate head right, aegis at shoulder; crescent in right field / Canopic jar of Isis; date across field. Cf. Köln 852; cf. Milne 1059-1069; Emmett 828. VF, some porosity, die breaks on obverse.

The bust types for this issue are described as having drapery at the shoulder with crescent in the field, or with aegis and no crescent. There is no record of an aegis with a crescent, although it is possible some poorly preserved specimens were not described fully.
