The reverse controls of this issue consist of both Latin letters and Roman numerals from I to XII. In some instances, such as on the specimen offered here, the numeral I is spelled out, VNI. Reverses with this unique control come paired with obverses of two very divergent styles: the normal style as seen on the other example of Crawford 373/1b in this sale, and a style derived from the coinage of L. Piso L.f. L.n. Frugi, Crawford 340.
