SICILY, Leontini. Circa 430-425 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.18 g, 10h). Head of Apollo left, wearing laurel wreath / LE-O-N-TI-N-ON, head of roaring lion left; three barley grains around, leaf behind. Boehringer, Münzgeschichte 55 (same dies); SNG ANS 257 (same dies); SNG Lloyd 1063 (same obv. die); Rizzo pl. XXIV, 4 (same dies); Basel 353 (same dies). EF, lightly toned, small die break in hair, small area of flat strike in center of reverse. Well-centered on a broad flan.
