ILLYRO-PAEONIAN REGION, Damastion (Dardania). Circa 365/0-350/45 BC. AR Tetradrachm (13.57 g, 12h). Herakleidas, magistrate. Larueate head of Apollo left / Tripod on base; knife and KH to left, HRAKL-EIDO inscribed on base and to right. May, Damastion 51 (same obv. die); SNG Copenhagen -; BMC -; SNG Ashmolean 3320 (same obv. die). EF, attractive light iridescent toning. An exceptional piece, well struck on a broad flan. Very rare.
