BOEOTIA, Kopai. Circa 500-425 BC. AR Obol (0.87 g). Boeotian shield / KWP-A-IWN, forepart of bull butting right within concave circle. BCD Boiotia 166 (same rev. die); Head, Boeotia p. 45, pl. IV, 1 = BMC 1, pl. VII, 4; SNG Copenhagen -; Traité III 277, pl. CCII, 17; SNG Lockett 1716 = Pozzi 1370 = Pozzi (Boutin) 3184 (same rev. die). Good VF, lightly toned, minor porosity, light mark on obverse. Extremely rare, and among the finest.
