CYCLADES, Naxos. Late 3rd-mid 2nd century BC. AR Didrachm (7.78 g, 12h). Krethe-, magistrate. Head of Dionysos right, wearing ivy wreath / NAXI, garlanded crater; KRHQE to left, filleted thyrsos to right. Nicolet-Pierre, Cratérophores 18 (D6/R12); SNG Copenhagen -; BMC -; Triton V, 1385 (same dies); Münzhandlung Basel 8, 324 (same dies). Near EF, lightly toned, obverse softly struck. Extremely rare, only four didrachms of this magistrate recorded by Nicolet-Pierre.
