GAUL, Nemausus. Augustus, with Agrippa. 27 BC-AD 14. Æ As (13.45 g, 3h). Struck AD 10-14. IMP above, DIVI • F below, P P across field, head of Agrippa left, wearing rostral crown, and head of Augustus right, wearing oak wreath, back to back; all within pelleted border / COL NEM, chained crocodile standing right; palm and filleted wreath behind, palm fronds on either side of stem base. RPC I 525; RIC I 160. Superb EF, hard black-green patina with gray-green overtones, a few minor adjustment marks on obverse. Exceptionally detailed crocodile.
