Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AR Denarius (4.14 g, 10h). Pergamum mint. Struck 27 BC. AVGVSTVS, bare head right / Laurel wreath interwoven with rostra and tied with fillet, ties drawn upward across center. RIC I 473; RSC 335; BMCRE 669 = BMCRR East 260; BN 940. Good VF, gray and gold toning, traces of iridescence, area of flat strike on obverse, tiny flan flaw in field below chin.
