Augustus. 27 BC-AD 14. AR Denarius (3.89 g, 7h). Spanish mint - Emerita. Struck 19-18 BC. Head left, wearing oak wreath / CAESAR above, AVGVSTVS below, two laurel branches (or trees) upright. RIC I 33b; RSC 48; BMCRE 318-20 = BMCRR Gaul 144-6; BN 1285-6. Near EF, deep gray collection toning, a few minor scratches under tone. Terrific portrait.
